1	CONTRACT The contract will be between the client and the owners of Les Crouquets and will be governed by French law. It will be entered into when the booking form has been received, the deposit has been processed and a letter/e-mail of confirmation has been issued by Les Crouquets. The contract will be subject to all the following conditions.
2	PAYMENT A booking form will be issued when a verbal, written or email reservation is made.This must be completed and returned to Les Crouquets within 7 days together with a deposit of 30% of the total booking value if this is made more than 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance becomes payable 8 weeks before the arrival date.If the balance is not received on or before the due date, we reserve the right to relet the property. For bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival the sum becomes payable in full at the time of booking. Please note that the rental rate agreed at the time of booking forms part of the contract and will not be adjusted after the deposit has been paid. Cancelled bookings will be subject to our cancellation policy.
3	CANCELLATION POLICY Any cancellations must be made in writing. Deposits will be refunded only when the cottage is relet for the full rental rate otherwise they will not be refunded. For rentals which have already been paid in full,any monies paid will be refunded less any handling charges incurred, if we relet the cottage/s for the full rental rate. If the property is subsequently relet for less than the full rate, the difference will be treated as a cancellation charge and will not be refunded. If the property remains unlet, no money will be refunded. In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking, Les Crouquets will try to source alternative accommodation in the area. In any event, Les Crouquets will not be held liable for more than the rental rate of the entire booking. Although not compulsory, we strongly recommend that you arrange insurance cover against any cancellation charges.
4	SECURITY DEPOSIT A security deposit of € 400 is payable on arrival at the property ( or with the final payment if preferred). This will be returned in full within 1 week of departure provided no damages,breakages or any incident incurring extra expenditure have occurred. Alternatively a credit card number to which any agreed payment for damage/breakages etc may be charged will be acceptable.
5	BREAKAGES OR DAMAGES The client is legally bound to reimburse Les Crouquets for replacement, repair or extra costs incurred.
6	CARE OF THE PROPERTY Guests must take all reasonable and proper care of the cottages and grounds and all fixtures & fittings. They must be left in the same state of repair and condition as at the beginning of the rental period. Guests must also agree not to act in any way that may cause disturbance to other guests in any of the other properties.
7	PERIOD OF HIRE Rentals will commence from 5.00pm on the day of arrival and will terminate at 10am on the day of departure unless agreed otherwise in advance.
8	NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE COTTAGES The number of people occupying the cottages must not exceed the maximum capacity stated on the website and the number of occupants and their names must be disclosed on the booking form. We reserve the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is breached.Use of the cottages or the facilities & grounds by anyone not named on the booking form including day visitors, is expressly forbidden without prior permission from Les Crouquets and may result in an additional charge or the immediate termination of the contract.
9	CHILDREN Guests must accept full responsibility for their children's safety at all times. Children are not allowed to use the gym equipment or to enter the swimming pool unaccompanied at any time.
10	RIGHT OF ENTRY We reserve the right to gain access to the cottages at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or maintenance or to carry out any necessary repairs.
11	PETS Due to the nature of Les Crouquets, we regret that pets cannot be accepted.
12	SMOKING Smoking is not permitted in any part of the cottages or inside any of the ancillary buildings at any time.
13	COMPLAINTS Any complaints which arise during the occupation of your cottage must be notified to the owners at the earliest opportunity to allow for rectification and in the case of a serious problem this must be confirmed in writing. Any issues raised after departure will be deemed invalid.
14	OWNER'S LIABILITY The owners of Les Crouquets shall not be held liable for: - any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment,plant,machinery or appliance in the property,gardens or swimming pool - for any loss,damage,or injury resulting from adverse weather conditions,riot,war,strikes or any other matter outwith the control of the owners -for any loss,damage or inconvenience caused or suffered by the client if the property should be destroyed or substantially damaged before commencement of or during the rental period and in any event the owners shall, within 7 days of notification to the client,refund all monies previously paid in repect of the rental period. Under no circumstances shall the owners' liability exceed the amount paid for the rental period.
15	FACILITIES Whereas every effort will be made to ensure the provision of all the advertised facilities these do not form part of the accommodation contract and may be altered or access restricted as necessary and at any time.
16	SURROUNDING ACTIVITIES Les Crouquets lies at the heart of a farming community and we cannot be held liable for any activities carried out by other parties or the consequences thereof. Guests must ensure that they and their children keep within the boundaries of the land belonging to Les Crouquets at all times.
